To assist you on your journey, here are some easy to follow steps to help you meet This Week’s Challenge:
Making your smoothie can be easy when you follow these tips and this great smoothie recipe!
Tip #1: Add green smoothies to your daily diet. Have one every single day. Make sure that you’re getting the foods you need and not just avoiding the foods that make you sicker. This will dramatically change your health and it’s very simple to do.
Tip #2: Be aware that the most powerful foods for disease reversal are going to be leafy greens or cruciferous vegetables, omega-3 fatty acids from flax or chia seeds and water. Water is essential for disease reversal.
Tip #3: Made properly, the best way to get all of those healing foods in your body is to drink a green smoothie, and you can do it with a straw.
Green Smoothie Recipe:
1. Get your high speed blender (Vitamix or Blendtec) and pack it with about 75% green leafy vegetables.
2. Pack the greens in very tightly. Because they’re leafy, you want to really pack them in. You may even want to eliminate some of the stems.
3. Add about a handful of flax or chia seeds (whole seeds) to the mix. If you don’t have a high-speed blender you can grind the seeds up in a coffee grinder right before you use them.
4. Add water to the top level of the greens. That will help the mixture not explode when you add everything together.
5. Add your fruit to the remaining 25% of the blender. Whatever fruits you like, fill the blender up.
6. Place the top on the blender and blend until mixed for your smoothie drinking pleasure, usually 3-5 minutes. Blend longer than 3 minutes if you’re blending your whole seeds so they get cracked open and you get the Omega-3 benefits.
You now have a drink that you can consume over the course of the day that has your greens, your mega threes and your water. Drink more water during the day, separately from your smoothie. This is going to have a dramatic impact on how you feel and how fast you heal.
